Some ideas begin with technology. Others begin with history, privacy, identity, business needs or simple curiosity.
The studio provides a place to investigate them, build what is useful and give promising projects room to become something of their own.

Hu99icane does not begin with a preferred technology or a fixed commercial formula. The work begins by understanding what is actually being built and why it matters.
Projects may involve software, research, archives, business systems or experimentation.
Not every experiment needs to become a product. Not every project needs to look alike.

The name
Why 99?
The 99 represents ordinary people.
Technology can sometimes feel reserved for those who already have the money, access, confidence or knowledge to reach it.
Hu99icane began from a different idea.
Useful technology and ambitious concepts should not automatically belong only to the few.
The name also carries the idea of a hurricane.
Sometimes old assumptions, unnecessary complexity and barriers need to be cleared away before something better can be built.
Clear the slate.
Make room for what comes next.

Independent by design
Small on purpose.
Hu99icane is intentionally independent.
Projects can be explored carefully without pretending every experiment is a company, every idea is a product or every piece of work belongs in the same category.
When a project develops an identity of its own, it should be allowed to stand on its own.
Hu99icane remains the place where those ideas can begin, mature and stay connected.

Founder
Hu99icane Studios grew from years of building practical systems, investigating ideas and learning by making things real.
The work now spans genealogy, privacy, historical research, business systems and other independent projects connected by a common approach to experimentation, development and long-term stewardship.
